Daily Charges
Children happily performed their daily household chores. They also extended help in the school located inside the center and had enough time to help the cook in preparing the meal for everyone.
Each of the girls is given household tasks for them to cultivate responsibility, self-reliance, and discipline. They also build a sense of commitment and fulfillment in their work.
Playtime
BK girls are given the opportunity to play and enjoy their life as children, especially that some of them were not given the same opportunity when they were with their families/relatives. It serves as a healing activity as it helps them divert their emotions and feelings, improves their creativity, and promotes camaraderie.
Gardening
Gardening is a regular activity of the girls. It is a therapeutic activity as it helps them feel the connection between them and the natural world. In addition, a generous group provided sunflower seeds to the girls. It brings joy to everyone when the sunflowers bloomed.
Group Living Sessions
Simultaneous Group living session per residence were done to discuss different group concerns and to maintain orderliness in each residence. The activity was usually attended by the in-charge housemother, social worker and Sisters.
Group living is done every weekend to know and express their feelings and to settle concerns.

Group Sessions
Continuous Group Sessions were made for both residences. The girls learned additional concept and gained various realization towards different topics, may it behavioral or in terms of dealing with others.
One of the therapeutic activities is providing sessions conducted by the social workers and Sisters. It’s for them to strengthen their relationship, express themselves and to become socially functioning individuals.
Sessions on Current Events
The girls are encouraged to be aware about the recent news, issues and concerns in the government and the whole society. It is done through watching news in the television and through providing session which is conducted by Sr. Zeny. It is good to note that they are interested in the current events and pray for good governance and better world.

Earth Day Activity
The product from recycling was shown during the Exhibit last April 23 during the commemoration of the Earth Day. Simple program was made to highlight the importance of taking care of our common home, one of those is through recycling. They also presented different dance and song number. Liturgy was made afterwards.
Tutorials
Shown in the picture is the BK girl together with a long-time volunteer of BK. She is very much committed to do tutorial every Wednesday. Other staff and sisters also do the same as the girls are in dire need of it.

Guitar Tutorials
While having community quarantine, the girls made themselves busy learning new skills like playing string instrument (ukulele and guitar). Houseparent and some Sisters spend time to teach them.
Spiritual Activities
Catechism
The girls had regular Catechism session with the Sisters. Bigger and younger girls were divided. It is observed that the girls grow in faith.
SME Feast Day
St. Mary Euphrasia was truly remembered during her feast Day last April 24. Three girls from Tahanan ni Jose facilitated session about the way she lived her life. The girls also wanted to attribute certain characteristics from her. Creative presentation, Quiz bee and movie watching were also made.
Lenten Season in the Center
COVID 19 would not stop the Center to unite with the Catholic Church in remembering this special season. Prayers, Reflection, and Session were done. Celebration of Eucharistic mass was pushed through streaming in Television.
Easter Sunday
The girls' creativity was expressed especially during the painting of their own Easter Eggs. Girls in Tahanan ni Maria Residence also expressed that it is their first time to do such activity. Everyone also rejoices as the Jesus is Risen. They also had simple recreation afterwards.
Faith Sharing
Spiritual activity like faith sharing is regularly done in the center. During this time, the girls, staff and sisters gather together to reflect and meditate about the Gospel of the day. All are encouraged to listen with their hearts and to share what word or phrase that strikes them and how it relates to their own experiences. This spiritual activity helps them grow in faith that would eventually change their life.
During Earth hour, the Sisters, Staff and Girls gather together to reflect and share about the Gospel. They developed deeper connection with God and realized that He is always with them especially in difficult times as reflected from their sharing.

Mass
For the first time after the lockdown, Fr. Mike from Tahanan ng Mabuting Pastol celebrated mass in the center. It was attended by the Sisters, staff and Tahanan ni Jose girls. COVID protocols were observed.
Communion
Saint Mary Euphrasia's Birthday
The birthday of our foundress, Saint Mary Euphrasia was celebrated through games, presentations and card offerings.
Welcome Party and Sr. Carmela's Feast Day Celebration
July 16 was the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, also the installation of Sr. Ailyn Binco as the new Program Coordinator. Fr Mike from Tahanan ng Mabuting Pastol officiated a mass. In the afternoon, a program was held to officially welcome Sr. Ailyn and Sr. Luz in the Bukid Kabataan community, and also to celebrate the feast day of Sr. Carmela.
World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
To commemorate World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, Sr. Ailyn talked about Online Safety with the girls. They also wore blue shirts representing their solidarity with those who are trafficked. Prayers were also offered for the victims, and all individual, group and agencies fighting against this crime.
Farewell Party for Sr. Abel
Sr. Arabella was elected as one of the Councilors of the Province which also means that she needs to leave BKC. To express love and gratitude, a farewell party was held. The girls had different presentations such as interpretative dance, song, playing guitar, ukulele and xylophone.
Evaluation
The BK children annually evaluate the programs and services, self, peer, sisters and staff and their vacation experiences. It serves as a basis to discover the needs of the girls, and to identify the areas of improvement in terms of the whole program.
Case Conference
All the plans for the child are mutually agreed by the center itself, referring parties and families and relatives. The child is also given the chance to voice out her feelings and plans during the case conference. We make sure that the agreed plans are always for the child's best interest.
Staff Meeting
This month, a meeting with the staff are called to talk about the protocols during the pandemic.
Visit of Province Leadership Team
The new Province Leadership Team was welcomed by the girls through dance and song presentations and playing ukulele and guitar.
Awarding/Recognition
Since there was no usual recognition and graduation day, the center had a simple program to acknowledge their efforts and successes for the school year 2019-2020. All of them received tokens. Special awards and tokens were also given to five girls who received academic excellence award.
After Care
The two girls in the picture spent their Christmas vacation in the center. They were accompanied back to Sisters of Mary Girlstown, Silang, Cavite.
